- Can my courses I have taken from another school transfer into my student file?
Yes, it is possible. Courses are evaluated based on their equivalent content with the Berean School of the Bible courses. An evaluation of your transcript can be done upon request. A Transcript Evaluation Form is available on the Course Enrollment Information page.
- Are there time limits on my courses?
For courses enrolled in after December 31, 2008, the enrollment period is 6 months. One 6-month extension is available for a small fee for a total enrollment period of 12 months. Re-enrollment is required if the course is not completed after 12 months.
For courses enrolled in prior to January 1, 2009, the enrollment period is 18 months. One 6-month extension is available for these courses if they have gone incomplete. Re-enrollment is required if the course is not completed after the 6-month extension.
- Can courses taken on the Berean School of the Bible level transfer into the degree program?
Yes. This depends on the particular degree program and the number of electives available. Only courses for which you have earned a “B” or better will apply, and they can count for one undergraduate elective credit depending on the credit available in the elective sections.
- Is there any specific order the courses need to be taken in?
While no courses on the Berean School of the Bible level are required prior to enrollment in additional courses, we do have several recommendations to help in your course progress. Our recommended course sequence for the Certified Level of the Ministerial Studies Program is as follows: Life of Christ, New Testament Survey, Old Testament Survey, Biblical Theology of Prayer, Introduction to Theology, How to Study the Bible, and Sermon Preparation. Other courses throughout the program are independent of other course materials and may be taken at any time.
- If I have questions about course content whom can I contact?
You may email: (bsbcontent@globaluniversity.edu).
- It says on my exam that the midcourse evaluation grade needs to be on my final exam. Is that true, and where does it go?
It used to be a requirement that the midcourse evaluation grade was put on the final exam. However, this is no longer required. The midcourse evaluation is designed to let you see how well you are doing midway through your course.
- Will my final examination be graded the day it arrives in your office?
In order to best serve all of our students, we grade projects and finals in the order they are received. This is seldom, if ever, completed on the same day they arrive. Because of constantly changing factors related to grading services, it is difficult to predict when grading for a specific course will be completed. Students can be assured that Global University makes every effort to complete student assignment grading as quickly as possible. If working with the credentialing process, we strongly recommend that you send in your final materials no less than six weeks before your transcripts are needed by your district office.
- What is your retake policy if I fail an exam?
The first time an exam is failed there is a retake fee of $20.00 that must
be paid before the exam is sent out. If the exam is failed a second time,
you must wait three months before taking it again and pay a tuition charge
of $45.00.
- How do I request a copy of my transcript?
Before we can release a transcript, we need a written request signed by the student. This request can either be mailed or faxed to us, and a Transcript Evaluation Form is available on the Course Enrollment Information page..
- When do I get my diploma?
A diploma is awarded when all courses for your particular diploma program have been completed. When you have completed all the necessary course work, you will need to request a program completion form (also available on our website). When that has been returned, we will process your request and send your diploma.
